Visited with my in-laws as a party of 4 over the Xmas period. I’m vegan, and we’d seen a review that there weren’t any vegan options so contacted the pub and they were more than happy to accommodate me, providing options for each course. I had a mushroom soup, and the artichoke from the Sunday menu and both were outstanding! Everyone else on the table were all meat eaters and loved their food too. The vibe, food quality and setting were all perfect for a special treat at Christmas. We’d definitely recommend and hope to be back again soon!

We booked The Den for a birthday celebration and the whole evening was faultless. Every member of staff was polite, attentive, and friendly. The food and drinks choices are very good, the range of nonalcoholic drinks is particularly impressive. The food was superb, everything we had was delicious and perfect, and the portion sizes were substantial. An absolutely fabulous experience and I would highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

We had the 7 course taster menu in the Den, the private dining room at the Rum Fox, to celebrate a special birthday. The booking process was superb with really helpful communications. We had a couple of specific dietary requirements and these were managed brilliantly. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were friendly and the service superb, with a specific shout out to Jacob. The food was delicious, the wine choice superb and we had the most fantastic evening. Thank you so much! You helped make a special weekend all the more so.

Exceptional food, in an exceptional venue, with exceptional service. We’ve been to many restaurants in the Clitheroe area with the fantastic offering of places to dine and The Rum Fox is right up there at the very top!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We hosted a baby shower at The Rum Fox in the Garden room, and it honestly felt like a mini wedding — every single detail was perfection. From the stunning table setup to the mumosas waiting on arrival and drinks flowing all day, everything was seamless and beautifully executed. Kiaja was exceptional. She went far beyond what was expected — taking on tasks she didn’t need to, ensuring everything was set up and styled before we even arrived to set up ourselves. Her attention to detail and dedication made the whole experience completely stress-free. From the ribbons on the glasses and cake boxes to the favours and elegant place settings, every touch was considered. The venue itself is breathtaking, the staff are outstanding, and the Sunday roast is simply the best truly unforgettable for our friend. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a special day. It was five-star from start to finish.

The rum fox is the finest restaurant I have ever had the privilege of dining at. I have eaten at a few Michelin star restaurants and the whole experience at the rum fox is on par with all of them. Amazing food, friendly staff, great atmosphere and beautiful decor, this place is a must visit for any local foodies. The tasting menu is £75 per person which is reasonable considering the use of beautiful ingredients and local produce used to create unique dishes that are truly special. If you’re thinking of booking here then do it now, it will not disappoint.

Wow absolutely blown away by the hospitality, food and location. My meal (Rib Eye) was out of this world. The onion rings were superb. Hubby had the lamb and the flavours were outstanding. The owners were so accommodating and Tess the Mother of one of the owners spent time giving us a verbal tour of the area. It was my birthday yesterday and they surprised me with a beautiful meringue. Honestly blown away. I would travel 5 hours just to come back again. Highly recommend

We could not fault them even if we wanted to. It was excellent, the manager kindly fit us in despite being really busy. The staff were lovely, polite, and looked like they enjoyed doing their jobs. The chef, whom I think I saw briefly at the bar, is amazing. The vegetarian option I had, which was aubergine-based, was incredible. I've always said it takes an excellent chef to cook an aubergine just right. Wine was delicious, my son had the white witch blonde ale, which he said was great. All in all, I can't wait to return. What an amazing place!

Excellent pub/restaurant and service with the imaginative food. The fixed price menu during the week also offers great value for money. Thank you bob and team.

A talented chef serving exceptional food, it is a beautiful place with great staff and a relaxed atmosphere. I think this was our 6th visit and it been top notch every time. Can’t wait to go again well worth a visit if you haven’t been before.
